Effective March 1st, 2010, the Ellis County Sheriff's Office will be posting Notices of Estray Livestock on this website.

Pursuant to Chapter 4, Title 121, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, 1925, lawfully impounded livestock will be sold at public auction on the date and time posted on this page of the Official Ellis County website. If you have knowledge of someone who may be missing livestock, please check the Estray-Auction page of this website. If this could possibly be your animal, contact the Civil Division of the Ellis County Sheriff's Office at 972-825-4967. No other Notice will be published.

Other personal or real property may be listed on this website for auction.


BY VIRTUE OF A ORDER OF SALE issued out of the 40th District  Court of Ellis County, Texas, in a certain cause numbered Cause #89284 .  On the 19thday of June A.D. 2015 , styled:  Pennymac Loan Services, LLC vs. Patricia Marie Parks and Maximo Salazar , to me, as Sheriff directed and delivered, I have levied upon this 24th day of June A.D. 2015 and will between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. at approximately 10:10 a.m. on the first Tuesday in August A.D. 2015 , it being the 4th of said month, at the historic Courthouse, 101 W. Main St., Waxahachie of said Ellis County, proceed to sell at public auction to the highest bidder, for cash in hand, all right, title and interest, if any, which the defendant had on the 24th day of June A.D. 2015 , or at any time thereafter, of and in the following described property: 

All that certain Lot, Tract, or Parcel of Land being a tract or parcel of land situated in the City of Ferris, Ellis County, Texas, and being part of the Mason Phelps Survey, Abstract 824 ; and also being that Tract of Land conveyed to Donny Wayne Sperry, ET UX, by deed recorded in Volume 629, page 95, of the Deed Records of Ellis County, and being more particularly known as Ellis County Appraisal District ID # 188753, approx 0.655 acres. Also known as 209 Campus St, Ferris, Texas. 

 Said property is levied on as the property of Patricia Marie Parks and Maximo Salazar and will be sold to satisfy the judgment for $132,656.49, plus interest at 9.650%, plus further costs of the suit, Dollars.

I impounded the below described estray:

Animal Type:   Horse
Breed: Palomino / Quarter Horse
Color:   dark gold / blond mane & tail
Sex: male/ gelding
Age:  unknown / adult
Size:  approx 16 hands

Brand, Earmark, Identifying Characteristics:  old injury on both back legs  

Location of the Estray when impounded:  1000 blk E.Wyatt Rd,  Midlothian
Reporting Party :  Lou Wise,  1077 E. Wyatt Rd,  Midlothian

And, on the 14th  day of July A.D. 2015 I filed NOTICE OF ESTRAY with the Ellis County Clerk’s office of Ellis County, Texas. I have made a diligent search of the register of recorded brands in Ellis County for the owner of the Estray, but the search did not reveal the owner.- N/A – no brands on horse

Notice is hereby given that if the ownership of said Estray is not determined by the 22nd
day of July A.D. 2015, said Estray will be sold at Public Auction/Sheriff’s sale at 10:30 am  located at:  Contact the Ellis County Sheriffs Office by 9am on sale date for location of sale.  972-825-4967 / 972-825-4957.


 BEFORE ME, the undersigned authority on the 14th   day of July A.D. 2015 personally appeared Deputy C.Darling #253  in and for Ellis County Texas who being duly sworn deposes and says: That on the 5th day of June A.D. 2015, I was notified of the above described livestock was running at large in Ellis County Texas at the above described location and pursuant to the stock laws of the State of Texas, Chapter 4, Title 121 Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, 1925, impounded said livestock same being impounded at the above described location.
