NEW POLICY

Effective March 1st, 2010, the Ellis County Sheriff's Office will be posting Notices of Estray Livestock on this website.

Pursuant to Chapter 4, Title 121, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, 1925, lawfully impounded livestock will be sold at public auction on the date and time posted on this page of the Official Ellis County website. If you have knowledge of someone who may be missing livestock, please check the Estray-Auction page of this website. If this could possibly be your animal, contact the Civil Division of the Ellis County Sheriff's Office at 972-825-4967. No other Notice will be published.

Other personal or real property may be listed on this website for auction.

NOTICE OF IMPOUNDMENT OF ESTRAY

Case Number:  14- 14186
Date:  October 20, 2014
On the 17th day of October A.D. 2014
I impounded the below described estray:

Animal Type:   Cattle
Breed: Longhorn
Color:  black & white spotted
Sex: male / bull
Age:  unknown / adult
Size:  average
Brand, Earmark, Identifying Characteristics:  N/A  

Location of the Estray when impounded:
Getzendaner Rd / FM 984, Waxahachie    
Reporting Party :  Steve Patman

And, on the 20th  day of October A.D. 2014 I filed NOTICE OF ESTRAY with the Ellis County Clerk’s office of Ellis County, Texas. I have made a diligent search of the register of recorded brands in Ellis County for the owner of the Estray, but the search did not reveal the owner.- N/A 

Notice is hereby given that if the ownership of said Estray is not determined by the 10th day of November A.D. 2014, said Estray will be sold at Public Auction/Sheriff’s sale at 1:00 pm  located at:  Hubbard Livestock Market, 3422 State Highway 31,  Hubbard Texas.

  COUNTY OF ELLIS  

BEFORE ME, the undersigned authority on the 20th  day of October A.D. 2014 personally appeared Deputy C.Darling #253  in and for Ellis County Texas who being duly sworn deposes and says: That on the 17th  day of October A.D. 2014, I was notified of the above described livestock was running at large in Ellis County Texas at the above described location and pursuant to the stock laws of the State of Texas, Chapter 4, Title 121 Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, 1925, impounded said livestock same being impounded at the above described location.

And, on the 9th day of October A.D. 2014 I filed NOTICE OF ESTRAY with the Ellis County Clerk’s office of Ellis County, Texas. I have made a diligent search of the register of recorded brands in Ellis County for the owner of the Estray, but the search did not reveal the owner.- N/A – no brands on goat.Notice is hereby given that if the ownership of said Estray is not determined by the 27th day of October A.D. 2014, said Estray will be sold at Public Auction/Sheriff’s sale at 10:15 am  located at:  Ellis County Station 2, 130 Hoyt Rd, Waxahachie, Texas.
