On July 14th, Freshpet Inc. solidified an agreement with Ellis County expected to create over 400 new jobs with a $267 million dollar investment in Ellis County and the City of Ennis. The new Freshpet location is one of three national facilities and the only slated for the State of Texas. The Ellis County Commissioners Court unanimously approved the 70% 7-year tax abatement agreement with Freshpet Inc. Freshpet is a pet food distribution center that focuses on all-natural pet food with no additives, preservatives, or powders.
