7/27 COVID-19 Update - 2,000+ Recoveries in Ellis County

Ellis County reports on COVID-19 cases as they are distributed to the Local Health Authority from the Texas Health Trace (THT) platform. According to the case line list provided by THT for July 27th, there are 2,189 reported cases in Ellis County with a remainder of 91 active cases (87 confirmed and 4 probable). Today’s report includes an additional 140 recoveries for a total of 2,077 recoveries of COVID-19. According to the Texas Department of State Health Services Dashboard, there have been 19,682 tests administered in Ellis County.

We are proud to report more than 2,00o recoveries and less than 100 active cases in Ellis County. It is great to know that the efforts Ellis County citizens are taking have resulted in a healthier and safer place to live. While we are hopeful for this trend to continue, the Ellis County Office of Emergency Management and local health authorities ask all citizens to practice physical distancing, wear a mask, and sanitize frequently. Together we win.

Todd Little, Ellis County Judge & Emergency Management Director
