Any school suspensions or extensions of Spring Break in the wake of the Coronavirus, beyond the originally scheduled Spring Break, are not an extension of the Spring Break Holiday as contemplated in the Texas Family Code or in any filed temporary or final orders of this court.

Any conflicts or concerns regarding this matter should be handled preemptively by counsel and not as the result of any ‘self-help’ by any party.

Children subject to an order of this court, whose school has suspended student attendance beyond the spring break period should be returned to the other custodian at the same time ordinarily specified in their orders. Any agreements to the contrary should be in writing and signed by both parties.
