[ARCHIVED] Stay Weather Alert for Possible Strong Storms

EC Severe Weather

Ellis County is expecting to receive severe weather around 4:00PM tomorrow.   A squall line of storms will develop near or just west of the I-35/I-35W corridor.  This line will pose a high threat of damaging winds with a few embedded brief tornadoes. Our main threat is localized flooding in low laying areas, hail, damaging winds, and a possible few tornadoes. The region is expected to receive 2-4” of rain.

Ellis County has an enhanced risk of receiving a brief tornado or two.  Ellis County Office of Emergency Management will be monitoring weather at our office.  Ellis County Crews will be at the ready in the event of any flooding or damage caused by the storms.  Please follow our Ellis County EMC Facebook page for all updates and information.
