[ARCHIVED] TRAFFIC ALERT - Closures of Northbound/Southbound Sides of I-35E This Week

MARCH 12, 2018

WAXAHACHIE – Weather permitting, there will be major lane closures this week on the I-35E north project in Ellis County beginning with the full northbound side of I-35E at Sterret Road bridge to be closed Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Also scheduled on Wednesday and Thursday nights there will be full closures of the southbound side of I-35E at the US 287 bridge from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning. Traffic will exit the highway at exit 403 to the frontage road and re-enter the highway at the next entrance one half of a mile south of US 287.

During the week, along with these closures will be night time single lane and frontage road closures leading up to the full closures on I-35E and single lane closures, frontage road closures and clover-leaf connector closures on US 287.

Motorists should expect delays and seek alternate routes. TxDOT appreciates your patience while improvements are made to this important thoroughfare. Please remember these closures are subject to change and are weather dependent.
