[ARCHIVED] Ellis County Disaster Recovery Center

FEMA will be opening a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Ellis County this next week. They will be in Ennis Monday through Wednesday, and Waxahachie from Thursday through Saturday. This is a great opportunity for our residents to sit down with FEMA and receive free face to face assistance. I have listed to addresses, times, and what the DRC does below. Please assist in getting this information out to the public. If you use social media, please use #elliscounty. This assists us in tracking information flow and have rumor control here in our county. If you have the ability to spread this information to our Spanish speaking residents as well, please let us know.

Some of the services of the DRC include:
• Guidance regarding disaster recovery
• Clarification of any written correspondence received
• Housing Assistance and Rental Resource information
• Answers to questions, resolution to problems and referrals to agencies that may provide further assistance
• Status of applications being processed by FEMA
• SBA program information if there is a SBA Representative at the Disaster Recovery Center site
• Crisis Counseling Program
• Disaster Legal Services
• Disaster Unemployment
