[ARCHIVED] From the County Judge: Update on County Ambulance Services

From the County Judge: On January 27, 2015 Ellis County was informed by ETMC of their intent to withdraw its ambulance services effective March 1 or April 1, 2015. Neal Franklin, general manager of ETMC EMS has met with Careflite on assuming the remainder of its current contract with Ellis County and partner entities. Careflite has agreed to assume ETMC’s contract and operations. In echoing the sentiments of Paul Stevens, city manager of Waxahachie, a change in ambulance service companies is not going to affect emergency response. Ellis County as well as its partner agencies are working diligently on its transition plan to ensure that its residents will receive the best possible ambulance services without any service interruptions.
