[ARCHIVED] Pipeline Explosion UPDATE

(update) Milford residents that are displaced due to the evacuation can receive Red Cross assistance for shelter and meals at the Italy High School Dome located at 300 College Street, Italy TX.

We have received word of a pipeline explosion near Milford. No injuries have been reported at this time. It appears to be a 10 inch blown gas main. Chevron representatives are on the site, monitoring the situation with the Ellis County Fire Marshal’s Office, and various law enforcement entitites. A one mile area is being evacuated around the fire. Students from the Milford ISD were transferred to the nearby Italy ISD as a precaution.
